“We intend to train the entire value chain with information and workshops. Not only the issue of health, but how it significantly impacts the needs that a patient of this type requires in terms of transportation, accommodation, food and, above all, tourism, due to the wealth that the state has, which is very important in this type of patients who are looking for a health care facility outside their place of residence.”
The specialist indicated that, after being stopped by the pandemic, this project seeks to join efforts to internationalize and formalize the hospital market of Zapopan and Jalisco.
According to information from the Cluster, specialties such as bariatrics, plastic surgery and prosthetics are the most requested by users from other destinations in Jalisco.
The 2022 Medical Tourism Congress becomes relevant due to the high costs that these treatments represent abroad, compared to the low prices offered in the institutions of Jalisco, which is why it seeks to guarantee that patients who come from other countries have the best experience.
